iPhone ringtone maker
Create an iPhone ringtone from MP3, M4A, WAV or a video: choose up to 30 seconds, add fades and download M4A/AAC or MP3 locally.
Your file stays on this device. The original remains unchanged.
Audio decoding: up to 64 MB of audio and 10 minutes. A video may be larger if its AAC track fits these limits. The ringtone is at most 30 seconds.
Use your own or licensed recordings. Protected streaming downloads cannot be processed.
How to use this tool
- Choose an unprotected recording. The waveform shows the loud and quiet passages after decoding. MP4/MOV videos are read in pieces to extract their AAC track first.
- Move the start and end sliders or enter seconds. The selection stays within 30 seconds. Set optional fades and listen to the processed selection.
- Create the ringtone. AAC-capable browsers offer M4A and the same audio with an M4R extension. Otherwise, download MP3; changing an MP3 filename to M4R does not turn it into AAC.
Install your ringtone
- Save the downloaded M4A or MP3 to the Files app.
- On iOS 26, open Share → Use as Ringtone if the option is available for the file.
- On older iOS versions or if the option is missing, import the file into GarageBand, share the song as a ringtone and select it in Sounds & Haptics. The AAC M4R download is also available for compatible desktop workflows.

Questions and answers
How do I install it on iOS 26?
Save the download to Files, open its sharing menu and choose “Use as Ringtone” if available. The recording must be 30 seconds or shorter. If the option is missing, import it into GarageBand and export it as a ringtone.
Why am I getting MP3 instead of M4A?
AAC encoding depends on browser and operating-system support. ShrinkBeam checks it and falls back to LAME MP3 if it is unavailable or fails. MP3 remains usable through GarageBand, but the M4R download is only offered for an AAC file. MP3 may include brief encoder padding; GarageBand can trim it when exporting a ringtone.
Can I use a song from a streaming subscription?
Use only your own recordings or files you are licensed to use. Protected downloads cannot be decoded by this tool. Audio is decoded locally, limited to 64 MB and ten minutes; larger AAC videos can work when the extracted audio fits.
