Is local PDF processing safe?

What does local in the browser mean?
Tool logic runs on your device. ShrinkBeam does not send selected files to its servers; the browser first downloads website code. Hosting connection data still arise during a visit. Local file processing does not mean that no data are processed when visiting the site.
How can I verify this?
Open developer tools and the network panel, select a test file and run the tool. Inspect outgoing requests and their contents; distinguish code downloads and page requests from file transfer. After loading, disconnect for supported tools. Repeat verification after significant website changes.
What remains my responsibility?
Store sensitive results appropriately and check download folders and shared devices. The unchanged original can still contain personal information. Metadata cleaning does not remove visibly printed names. A watermark does not restrict access and pixelation is not reliable irreversible redaction.
What changes with advertising?
No advertising is currently active. Provider, consent and privacy text must match before activation. Advertising can process visit data even when tool logic processes files locally. Also check the eventual delivery method: sharing a locally created document can store it with another service.
